Super-busy location, which is understandable since it's adjacent to UNC. We placed an order for two drinks with a very nice employee...and then nothing happened. After 15 minutes of NO DRINKS, I went back to the register to see what had gone wrong and was completely, studiously ignored by three employees - I finally had to call out and (literally) flag someone down. He told me to wait and then handled things badly: he didn't apologize, didn't offer to compensate us with free drinks or a coupon, just refunded our money (but NOT the tip) and that was that. I can forgive whatever error led to our overlooked order, but I can't forgive employees with absolutely no regard for customer wellbeing and, honestly, no respect for their customers. We went across the street to a locally-owned shop and had an amazing coffee: if you're in Chapel Hill, I highly recommend Epilogue Books Chocolate Brews!

You’ll mostly see University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill students peacefully studying at this Starbucks since it’s right on Franklin Street. It’s a large café with plenty of space, offering a mix of sofas, chairs, and good focused lighting. A great spot for meetings, studying, or casual meet-ups. We ordered the cold brew with pistachio foam and an iced caramel macchiato with salted caramel foam. Both were delicious, just as you’d expect from Starbucks. Service was quick too. Starbucks never disappoints :)

super beautiful decor and our drink was delicious. i got the strawberry matcha latte. staff was friendly but it did take a minute to get my order due to them being busy. would come again to this location.

This is a great new location but it can be difficult to find a seat and it's made much more difficult by the loitering homeless population. I have no issue with a customer who has a coffee and sits but as difficult as it is to find a seat there are piles of un attended belongings that end up taking up chairs (photos attached). The workers are friendly and the space is nice but the atmosphere makes it hard to want to utilize the space as intended.

Super busy. Tough to get seats. 4/10 friendly. They didn’t give me a holiday cup when I ordered a tall. It’s a fine Starbucks, overcapacity.
